Decorative, one of a kind pottery including table lamps, large vase forms, wall platters with etched surfaces and glaze inlay
After 40 years as a 'functional' potter, making all the usual items, mugs, bowls, casseroles, etc., in the last few years I've begun to expand my definition of 'function' to include larger scale object-oriented pieces and lamps with carved surfaces and glaze inlay as well as work that is cut and re-shaped or pierced. This work challenges me intellectually and emotionally and that energy seems to pass from myself, through the work, to those interested collectors.
