Lovely porcelain pots with elegant forms and vivid glaze color
Susan has worked as a studio potter for over 35 years in studios and teaching programs across the country. She was born in North Carolina, received her MFA in Ceramics from Louisiana State University, taught with Tom Coleman in Nevada, opened a gallery and school in Charleston, South Carolina and worked nationally in leading the board of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. She returned to Chapel HIll in 2005 and is now setting up a new studio while renovating her home. Susan has worked almost exclusively in porcelain, with an ever-increasing fascination for her glazes and the material. Her work is recognized for elegance of form and wonderful glaze colors, and can be found in numerous collections and publications. She is recognized as a NCECA Fellow.
